Let's Talk Bookish: Best Season For Reading

Image
Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly (Friday) meme originally created by  Rukky @  Eternity Books  and co-hosted by  Aria @  Book Nook  Bits  and Dini  @dinipandareads ! In this bookish discussion meme, bloggers get to discuss certain topics, share opinions, and spread love by visiting each other’s posts. September 5: In Which Season Do You Do Your Best Reading? (Jillian @ Jillian the Bookish Butterfly) Prompt: Is there a month, quarter or other specific time of year when you do your most reading and why do you think that is? Does this tend to fluctuate every year or is your reading pretty ‘steady’? When I read this question, my first thought was that I do my most reading in the wintertime. My mental health is not the best in the winter so I tend to read a lot to distract myself and because when it's cold and snowy, I don't want to be out due other things but because of who I am as a person, I have years' worth of data that tells me exactly what my read...

Down The TBR Hole #5

Image
Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by  Lost in a Story , but she has permitted  I’m Into Books  to adopt it since she is no longer blogging. I always see  Confessions of a YA Reader  do this and I have been wanting to give it a shot myself as my Goodreads to-read shelf has 672 books on it.  Go to your goodreads to-read shelf. Order on ascending date added. Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time. Read the synopses of the books Decide: keep it or should it go This weeks books: Something To Talk About by Meryl Winsler The Pledge by Cale Dietrich The Friend Scheme by Cale Dietrich Beauty In the Details by Molly McCarthy Roommate Arrangement by Saxon James Keeping:  Making some progress today. 2/5

Top Ten Tuesday: Sapphire Book Covers

Image
Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish  in June of 2010 and was moved to  That Artsy Reader Girl  in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. The September 2nd, topic for Top Ten Tuesday is jobs with Occupations in the title but despite my best efforts, I could not find 10 books that I would like to list so I decided to go rogue for the week.  I recently discovered Books Are The New Black's Birthstone Book Covers series and knew that I wanted to participate in September as I am a September baby and thanks to my grandma who was also born in September, I have always had a love for my birthstone - Sapphire.  Here are 10 books with dark blue covers: Have you read any of these? What's your birthstone? Let me know in the comments.
