Hello!

My name is Bree and I live in Michigan. I have loved reading and writing since I was in middle school. After years of posting my book thoughts on Instagram, I wanted to start a blog where I could post longer reviews and organize things better. I like to say that I will read anything once and I am a big mood reader, constantly jumping from genre to genre. My all-time favorites are Sports Romances (especially Hockey) and Monster Romances (non-human men just do it better). Thank you for checking out my blog.

My ratings scale:

5 Stars: This book blew my mind. I loved the characters, the plot and the writing.

4 Stars: An excellent book but it didn't blow my mind - maybe I didn't love the characters/plot or maybe the writing didn't blow me away.

3 Stars: A good, average read. 

2 Stars: I finished this book but I didn't really like it. Usually it's an issue with the plot that results in me leaving a 2 star review. 

1 Star: Something is wrong with this book - I rarely give 1 star reviews, I am more likely to just DNF the book and then not say anything about it than I am to give it a 1 star review. If I do leave a 1 star review, that means that there is something that I find wrong with the book - typically something problematic.

Top Ten Tuesday: Sapphire Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish  in June of 2010 and was moved to  That Artsy Reader Girl  in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. The September 2nd, topic for Top Ten Tuesday is jobs with Occupations in the title but despite my best efforts, I could not find 10 books that I would like to list so I decided to go rogue for the week.  I recently discovered Books Are The New Black's Birthstone Book Covers series and knew that I wanted to participate in September as I am a September baby and thanks to my grandma who was also born in September, I have always had a love for my birthstone - Sapphire.  Here are 10 books with dark blue covers: Have you read any of these?
