What I Did:
Going back to work after a week off is never fun. I did get to work at our 2nd much much much slower location for 2 days so that was a nice change of pace. Tuesday was DnD day, not much happened as our group needed to meet the new character of the guy who's character died during our last session - lots of the characters chatting around a fire which was still fun. Thursday, I only worked a half day due to working on Saturday so I was super productive, went to a local indie bookstore called Bookmarks, Barnes & Noble, Michaels (journal supplies!) and got my grocery shopping done. Saturday, I worked the first half of the day and then I had dinner with my younger siblings. Sunday, I am gonna let myself rest and read.
What I Read:
I finished Zomromcom by Olivia Dade, The Farm House by Chelsea Conradt and Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao. I worked on reading The Woman In Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware, Someone You Can Build A Nest In by John Wiswell and an ARC of Bloody Black by Rhiannon Hargadon.
edit: Links are to Amazon.
What I Checked Out From The Library:
Since I went to the library twice last week, I did not find the time to go this week. As I have 10 books checked out currently, it probably didn't hurt to take a week off.
Books I Bought:
Reading Goals Update:
Things are going well in the goals department. I did finally bump my regular reading goal up to 200 books because I wanted to see how far ahead I was for hitting that number. I have official surpassed the number of books I read last year and I am less than 10 books away from passing my best year ever which was 2 years ago. Crazy to think that I originally said I wanted to read 140 books this year.
I now have H & Z for my alphabet challenge - I have plans for X & Y but I am probably going to save them for November - after I am done with my spooky season reads but before I am ready for my holiday reads. This was my first year ever doing an Alphabet Challenge and I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to doing it again in 2026.

ReplyDeleteHere is my Sunday Post.
You have had a great reading year! Good luck in hitting your new goal.
ReplyDeleteI have Zomromcom in my bag of books from the library. I think I need to see how you liked it.
Oops. I thought your link would take me to your thoughts about it. I wonder if you enjoyed it.
DeleteCongrats on your reading goals! And I like your alphabet challenge template more than the one I'm using, I may switch if you offer a blank jpeg. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThe reviews for ZomRomCom sound good and they insist I do the audiobook version, so I put it on hold at the library. Looks like a long wait, but that's ok. What did you think about the book?
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great on your reading challenges! While I won't be near my top of all times, I should be the most in a few years.
