Tell Me Something Tuesday: The Lottery

 That's What I'm Talking About's Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. 

September 16th: What would you do if you won the lottery?

Thinking about winning the lottery isn't something I often do as I never actually participate in the lottery but to do this post, I am going to think about it as if I've won a few million dollars.

I would pay off my car and buy a house - I would turn one of the rooms in my house into my dream library and I would buy enough books to stock most of it (got to save room for books that aren't out yet). I would definitely give money to my siblings to make their lives easier. I would donate some money to my local library system as I love them and want them to be able to do all the things to continue to provide to my community in the way that they do. I would also donate some to my local humane society in honor of the senior dog that I adopted and acted as the retirement home of a few years ago. A friend of mine has a non-profit that provides gender affirming care products to people for free so I would donate money to them to help them continue their wonderful work. There is also a local non-profit that puts together queer craft nights and game nights and I would donate them to help them keep these events going.

    Even if we never participate in the lottery, it's fun to think about what we'd do if we'd win :) I love that you already have specific non-profits in mind that you'd donate to!

    Ah, to have a personal library. Love that you would also donate to you local library as well. Wish we invested more in libraries.
