What I Did:
I want to say I had another quiet week, but I am just a very boring person lol. I just be working my day job, reading and blogging. Wednesday, I took my weekly trip to the library. Thursday, I played the video game Baldur's Gate 3 with a couple friends for a few hours. Saturday, I drove 2 hours south of where I live to attend a surprise party for my mom's husband's 60th birthday - unfortunately, on the drive down, a large bolt flew off the back of a trailer and severely damaged my windshield but once we got down there, the party went well and my step dad was truly surprised.
What I Read:
I finished Jonah and The Narwhal by Vinni George (3.5 Stars) and The Vanishing Bride by Mimi Gunn (3 Stars). I worked on reading Carl's Doomsday Scenario and Magick by Eleri Drake.
What I Checked Out From The Library:
- When I went to the counter to get my holds, the librarian said "I've got quite the stack for you" as a bunch of my holds had come in at once
- A Curse of Beasts and Magic by Jeaniene Frost
- House of Cotton by Monica Brashears
- The Children by Melissa Albert
- The One Day You Were My Husband by Rosie Walsh
- We Carry Their Bones: The Search For Justice At The Dozier School for Boys
- We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer
- West of Forever by Corinne Michaels
- None

ReplyDeleteThank you! I was glad too. Hope you have a good week as well.
DeleteOur librarian is always surprised if I only have one or two holds to pick up. Ugh to the windshield troubles. I am glad the windshield didn't cause anyone to get hurt.
ReplyDeleteYay for a fun surprise birthday party :) Hope the windshield is a quick and easy fix. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWindshield has been fixed already! Thank you!
DeleteI am glad that the bolt did not completely shatter your windshield! Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteThose library books are going to keep you busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your week, happy reading!
Glad you made it there safely and had a great time. Quiet weeks are my favorite kinds of weeks. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you had a lot of holds at the library. That always happens to me when all the holds come in at once. I hope you enjoy your books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI feel like library books can sense when its the worst time to become available lol.
DeleteYou're doing a great job on your reading challenges so far! Keep up the good work!!
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be an unwritten universal law that all library holds will come in at once! Ugh about the windshield. That's no fun! I'm glad the party went well!
ReplyDeleteOof, hope it doesn't cost too much to sort out the windshield!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all the library books at once, haha.
Oh no! That windshield thing was scary I'm sure while you were driving. Glad the party went well. And a quiet week is nice! I'm hoping for mostly one of those this coming week. Sorry to be so late getting back to comment, I'll be sure to check in tomorrow for any updates on this past week.
