What I Did:
I want to say I had another quiet week, but I am just a very boring person lol. I just be working my day job, reading and blogging. Wednesday, I took my weekly trip to the library. Thursday, I played the video game Baldur's Gate 3 with a couple friends for a few hours. Saturday, I drove 2 hours south of where I live to attend a surprise party for my mom's husband's 60th birthday - unfortunately, on the drive down, a large bolt flew off the back of a trailer and severely damaged my windshield but once we got down there, the party went well and my step dad was truly surprised.
What I Read:
I finished Jonah and The Narwhal by Vinni George (3.5 Stars) and The Vanishing Bride by Mimi Gunn (3 Stars). I worked on reading Carl's Doomsday Scenario and Magick by Eleri Drake.
What I Checked Out From The Library:
- When I went to the counter to get my holds, the librarian said "I've got quite the stack for you" as a bunch of my holds had come in at once
- A Curse of Beasts and Magic by Jeaniene Frost
- House of Cotton by Monica Brashears
- The Children by Melissa Albert
- The One Day You Were My Husband by Rosie Walsh
- We Carry Their Bones: The Search For Justice At The Dozier School for Boys
- We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer
- West of Forever by Corinne Michaels
- None

ReplyDeleteOur librarian is always surprised if I only have one or two holds to pick up. Ugh to the windshield troubles. I am glad the windshield didn't cause anyone to get hurt.
ReplyDeleteYay for a fun surprise birthday party :) Hope the windshield is a quick and easy fix. Thanks for sharing!
