The Sunday Salon (hosted by ReaderBuzz) is a place to link up and share what we have been doing during the week. It's a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

What I Did:

Another very chilly week until Thursday when the temps reached the 40's. Monday through Wednesday were quiet for me, work, eat, sleep and repeat. Thursday, I worked a half day and I took advantage of that - I got a haircut (my first one in years!) and took my weekly trip to the library before settling in for an evening of drafting blog posts. Saturday, I worked and then unhauled some books at my local used bookstore. Sunday, I am going to get some housework done and read.

What I Read:

A slower reading week for me. I ended up DNFing Nightmare before Kissmas by Sara Raasch, I just wasn't in the mood for capitalistic Christmas and wasn't feeling the narrating character. I finished a reread of The Long Game by Rachel Reid and loved it just as much as I did the first time. I also read Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe which I thought was very interesting. I am very close to finishing an ARC of Fallen by Ashley Warren.

What I Checked Out From The Library:

I grabbed some interesting sounding novellas during my trip to the library: Psychopomp & Circumstance by Eden Royce and The River Has Roots by Amal El-Mohtar.

Books I Bought:

None.

  5. I’m a book dragon, unhauling books just doesn’t happen even though I ran out of bookshelf space about 8 jumbo plastic tubs ago :)

Wishing you and yours a very merry week!

  10. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Nightmare Before Kissmas. I liked it, but wasn't thrilled with the direction the second book was going, so haven't read it yet. Sounds like a nice enough week, and you've reminded me I need to reschedule my haircut I had to cancel in October due to all the craziness with moving my mom. Hope you have a nice holiday this week!
