Sunday #20

The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead. Join in weekly, bi-weekly or for a monthly wrap up.

The Sunday Salon (hosted by ReaderBuzz) is a place to link up and share what we have been doing during the week. It's a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

What I Did:

We got a lot of snow this week and I honestly wish that I could just hibernate through the winter so I didn't have to drive to work when it's snowing heavily. By Thursday, things had cleared up outside so I took my weekly trip to the library.  Friday, I went to the funeral of my Great Aunt to support my grandma and then I had dinner with some of my cousins that were visiting from Arizona - I am sure the below freezing temps were an even bigger shock to their system than it was mine. My Sunday plans were cancelled because a couple of my friends are feeling sick so I am going to spend the day in bed reading.

What I Read:

I had a great reading week. I finished Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison (4 Stars), White Heat by Leta Blake (3.5 Stars), You're A Mean One, Matthew Prince by Timothy Janovsky (3 Stars), My Orc (Fake) Boyfriend by Veronika Kane (3.25 Stars) and Tinsel & Tentacles by Kate McDarris (3 Stars).

I also worked on reading Fallen by Ashley Warren and The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch.

What I Checked Out From The Library:

This Place Kills Me by Mariko Tamaki & Nicole Goux

Books I Bought:

None.

Reading Goals Update:

I finished You're A Mean One, Matthew Prince which I used for the Y on my Alphabet Challenge. I just have X left and I have book picked out for that and I'll probably read it the week after Christmas.

I hit my 2025 reading goal! Technically I hit my original goal of 160 months ago but when I realized how quickly I was going to hit that, I bumped my goal up to 175 and then later 200 and I finally reached that 200.

  3. Oh... only one more book for the alphabet challenge. Fun! Sorry to hear about your aunt, but glad you are able to support your grandma. We have had snow and cold early this year and I'm not happy. So glad I'm heading to Florida on Friday!

I'm with you---no one should have to drive in snow. Work should stop. Roads should close!

  6. Congrats on almost finishing the alphabet challenge. I still have about 8 letters to go, so I won't complete it this year, but that's ok. Good luck with the snow😬

  9. Having to drive in snow is so stressful! Hibernating on snowy days is amazing. Have a great week!

  10. Driving in the snow is the worst. I've called out sick from work just to avoid it.
