What I Did:

Outside of my usual 8 to 6, I had a steady week. Monday, I went to a local evening Silent Book Club - not sure if I will be attending this one again. I like that it's in the evening because I am a night person but the coffee lounge that it is held at just wasn't bright enough for me and I felt like I was straining my eyes in the low light. Tuesday, I took my weekly trip to my local library. Wednesday, I went to an escape room and had dinner with my two youngest siblings. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were for rest and cleaning around the house. Sunday, I was a trunk at at local trunk or treat that is held annually in the name of a classmate that I lost back in high school. After that, I had dinner and went a saw Black Phone 2 with my youngest siblings once again.

What I Read:

I started The Man Made Of Smoke by Alex North and an ARC of Burn the Breeze by June Lark. I finished Grady Lake by JL Hyde (3 stars), Chasing The Wild by Elliott Rose (3.5 Stars), It's A Set Up by Stef C.R. (3.5 Stars) and Burn For Jack by Aiden Pierce (3 stars).

What I Checked Out From The Library:

For the first time in ages, there were not any holds waiting for me at the library. I did grab book 2 in JL Hyde's Grady series while I was there.

Books I Bought:

I went to a local used bookstore on Saturday and grabbed a couple of holiday novellas: Burn For Jack by Aiden Pierce and Pucking All The Way by Michelle Hercules.

  6. It sounds like you had a busy week. One benefit of mostly reading on my iPad is that low light isn’t a problem, actually it’s preferable:)

Wishing you a happy reading week

  8. I really need to check out the local Silent Book Club, I love the idea, though now that you mention the light issue, I'm not sure it'd be bright enough in the meeting space for me... I guess I could take my ereader. But so much to do, so little time, as well.

Hope you have a good week!
