What I Did:
My week was a little slower than last week. Monday, I went to a local support group for asexual and aromantic people which doubled in size since the last time I went - it was both nice to see and also anxiety inducing. I had my regular D&D group again on Tuesday which was nice, we normally aren't able to get together 2 weeks in a row. The rest of the week was quiet and then on Saturday, I drove about 2 hours south of where I live to spend the day with my mom and my younger brother - my mom even took me book shopping and bought me two books. I am now having a quiet Sunday at home and hoping to get lots of reading done.
What I read:
I finished 3 books books this week - Toxic by Nicole Blanchard, The Knight and The Moth by Rachel Gillig, Being Ace: An Anthology by Madeline Dyer. I am working on finishing an arc of Chapel of Ender's Ridge by Breckett Kane and I started & finished Kings of the Mountain by Morgan Brice. I am also slowly rereading Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao with a book club.
Reading Goals Update:
I am on trend to read over 200 books this year, but I am not going to be bumping up my goal from 175 because I really never planned to read this many books. I might end up bumping my page count up to 50,000 but that goal is never as important to me as the total books read goal is.
I read a book that had a title starting with K so for my Alphabet Challenge - I have 20 out of 26 letters. I still need H, J, Q, X, Y & Z. I have plans for H & Y so I just have J, Q, X & Z as my problem letters. If you know any books off the top of your head that start with those letters, drop them in the comments for me.

Congrats on finishing three books, three more than I did!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a productive reading week - congrats.
ReplyDeleteI love it when someone else buys me books! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with a slow week. It's nice to have some quieter time to relax, reflect and read.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Slow weeks can be good. You're doing great with your reading challenges. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou could look for titles starting with Queen for Q. No idea for X! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I didn't even think of titles with Queen in them. Thank you!
DeleteI can't resist recommending books! From my list of favorites: H: Hobbit; House on Mango Street. J, Q, X: I don't have any of these titles on my list. Y: Year of Wonder: Classical Music for Every Day; Yes, And... & Z: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenace.
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! Gonna check these all out. Thank you.
Delete200 books is A LOT! I’m going to be lucky to finish 48. :D
ReplyDeleteI am calling 2025 my unhinged reading era lol
DeleteSlower weeks are nice, aren't they? They give you time to breathe! I am glad the support group is growing--that people are reaching out for the connection and support. It feels like it's needed more than ever right now.
ReplyDeleteWay to go with your reading goal! That's great. And it sounds like you read some good ones this week. I'm really curious about The Knight and The Moth. I've been wanting to read Iron Widow. I hope your book club enjoyed it.
I hope this past week was a good one for you and you have a great weekend!
Huh... An X book. Seems like that would be hard to find. I HIGHLY recommend Zomromcom by Olivia Dade for your Z!
ReplyDeleteI just bought a copy of Zomromcom today! Can't wait to read it.
