Sunday #33

The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead. Join in weekly, bi-weekly or for a monthly wrap up.

The Sunday Salon (hosted by ReaderBuzz) is a place to link up and share what we have been doing during the week. It's a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

What I Did:

Monday, I finished a diamond painting and almost immediately started another one. Tuesday, I visited one of my brothers at his work and then I took my weekly trip to the library. Friday was a bad weather day and my drive into work was not fun at all. Today (Sunday) marks the first birthday of my blog! It's been a wonderful year, and I am so thankful for all the people I have met so far.

What I Read:

I finished my reread of Salt Kiss by Sierra Simone - I originally gave it 4 Stars but with this reread I think I would bump it down to 3.5 Stars. I finished an ARC of Moniker by Wrenna King - didn't really like this and ended up giving it 2.5 Stars, an ARC of Golden Hour by Rachel LaBerge - really enjoyed this one and gave it 4 Stars and A Box Full Of Darkness by Simone St James - 4 Stars.

What I Checked Out From The Library:

Dear Debbie by Freida McFadden

Even Though I Knew The End by CL Polk

That Kind Of Guy by Stephanie Archer

Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher

Two Can Play by Ali Hazelwood

Books Added To My Collection:

I was supposed to get 2 Book of  the Month books in the mail but the box showed up completely empty! I have reached out to Book Of the Month and they already have replacements on the way but it was a shock to pick the perfectly shut box up and realize there was no way there was a book in it.

    1. Thank you! It was opened a little bit but in my opinion, not enough to slide two books out of - almost like someone was checking to see if it was actually empty.

  8. Happy Blogiversary! IT is horrible to get a perfectly sealed box and have nothing in it, especially when it was supposed to have books! I hope your books show up soon. Have a good week!

  9. Oh how wild to have the box come with nothing in it! Happy Blogoversary! What is diamond painting? I'm sure you've mentioned it, but I'm at a loss trying to recall.

    1. Diamond painting is hard to describe. It's an image with a sticky background and you place "diamonds" down to create the image, kind of like a paint by number but 3D.

  10. Thanks for mentioning your diamond paintings. Every day I'm grumbling because I don't own any coasters and you just reminded me that I bought a diamond paintings coasters set a couple years ago. I need to make those coasters!!!!!
