I went through the archives of Let's Talk Bookish and found this prompt - Reading Challenges: Do we love them or hate them?

I personally love reading challenges. I used to just do a goal of how many books I wanted to read for the year. Over the years I have found more and more challenges. This year, I am doing the regular reading goal (185 books), a pages read goal (50,000 pages), the Alphabet challenge (reading one book for each letter of the Alphabet), Monster Lover bingo (a bingo card full of different monsters to read a wide variety of monster romances, can be found here), a romance bingo card (covers a bunch of different tropes across the romance genre, can be found here). I am excited to see which challenges I will complete and which one I will complete first.

    Those sound like fun challenges! While I always tend to overcommit to them every year, I do find that it helps to shake things up and kind of guide my reading direction when I'm feeling aimless 😂 The monster lover one sounds like lots of fun!     Oh I love them too! I use an app called Uncover, which has integrated challenges and every time you update your reading, it automatically adds the book to the respective challenge! I would love to try some of the ones you have mentioned here. Happy reading

    I love them too. When I started book blogging back in 2010, I did A LOT. Now I'm focusing more on my TBR, so I do a few and mostly month events, that I can combine with the huge amount of books on my TBR:.
