Tell Me Something Tuesday: Early Bird or Night Owl?
That's What I'm Talking About's Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. November 18th: Are you an early bird or a night owl?
To my own horror, I have recently become an early bird. Growing up and well into my 20's, I always stayed up as late as I possibly could and swore that I would never become the type of adult that got up at 6am for no reason but within the last couple of years, I have found myself going to bed earlier and earlier and getting up earlier than I need to. It's like a switch has been flipped inside my brain and suddenly I am one of those adults that get up at 6am for no reason. I do still like staying up late and then sleeping in - I like the way the world feels in the middle of the night but there is only so much fighting I can do against my own brain when it wants to go to bed at a reasonable hour. I have found that I enjoy having time to read before work so maybe as time goes on, I will enjoy being up early even more.
I find myself getting up at outlandishly early times the older I get, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely becoming more of an early bird than a night owl too. I'm usually too tired to read at night and end up falling asleep, but I love getting up early and being able to read a bit in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of an early bird, but I kind of find myself going through cycles throughout the year. As an e-commerce entrepreneur, right now I find myself as both an early bird and night owl as I try to get ready for Black Friday/Christmas. It's been tough haha but I think like most people, even though I enjoy a good late night, I always seem to work and function better when I go to bed early and get up early.
ReplyDeleteI've always been an early riser and now I prefer it. But as I get older, I find it hard to sleep in general, so I have to stay up later just so I don't wake at 3AM!
