What I Did:
I had a chill week which was needed. Tuesday, I went to a local discussion and signing for author Lisa Unger so that was fun. Thursday, I took my weekly trip to the library. My weekend was less chill. Saturday, I went to the first ever Ban This Book Fest as a volunteer. Sunday, I plan to go to a different silent book club than the one I normally go to and then to a local used book sale and then I will be attending a coastal magic reading challenge zoom chat
What I Read:
I finished the YA graphic novel Basil & Oregano which was very cute. I finished an ARC of Bellini Born by Siena Trap and my review can be found here. I started and finished Anchor by Nicole Blanchard - a very action packed read. I also finished Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 by Lisa Unger and it was a very interesting thriller. I started Night Watcher by Daphne Woolsoncroft and an ARC of Spicy or Sweet by Sophie Snow.
What I Checked Out From The Library:
This week at the library, I grabbed Lunar Boy by Jessica Wibowo and then on hold for me they had We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter (I was very excited about this one as I was number 70 in line when I placed the hold) and The Witch's Orchard by Archer Sullivan.
Books I Bought:
At Ban This Book Fest, I grabbed two books. The Gentleman's Book of Vices by Jess Everlee and Not Your #Lovestory by Sonia Hartl.

DeleteSounds like a good week. I don't know of any silent book clubs around here.
ReplyDeleteSomehow there are 3 within 30 minutes of where I live and I don't even live in that big of an area.
DeleteSounds like a good week. I've not been to a banned book event. I should look for some next time. I picked up my daughter and her two friends on Friday and brought them to our place for their fall break. I will be driving them home today (Tuesday). I got no reading done since Friday!
ReplyDeleteI would love to join in another Silent Book Club group. I enjoyed the first one I did so much.
