What I Did:
I spent Monday in Tennessee with some friends, we worked on tasks for my friend's nonprofit and just hung out - it was a very nice weekend, and my heart is very full. Tuesday, I drove home and spent 9 hours in the car, so it wasn't a very exciting day. Thursday, I took my weekly trip to the library, and they had a couple holds for me. Wednesday and Friday were just normal workdays. Saturday, I worked and then I took a trip to a local indie author feature so that was awesome. If you are in Michigan and want more information on book events and signings taking place in the mitten state, I have a Facebook group that focuses on finding and sharing said events. Sunday, I took a rest day for reading and relaxing at home.
What I Read:
Because of my travelling and friend time, it was a very slow reading week for me. I read and LOVED The Heartbreak Hotel by Ellen O'Clover. I completely read Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim. I started Bitter Heat by Leta Blake, Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 by Lisa Unger and an ARC of Bellini Born by Siena Trap.

The Shots You Take by Rachel Reid
The Changeling by Victor Lavalle
Kiss The Girl by Zoraida Cordova
Heat Wave by TJ Klune
The Heartbreak Hotel by Ellen O'Clover
a friend of mine gifted me a poetry book: Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim
From the indie author feature, I bought:
Haunted Hotels of Michigan by Roxanne Rhoads
Relative Fiction by Alaina Rose
Vice and Viture by Wren Gray
For Want Of A Dragon by Wendy Day

ReplyDeleteIt is always fun for me to travel. It sounds like you enjoyed your travels, too.
I'm glad you had a good trip!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your book haul!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
Audio books are what save me on long road trips! We were in TN last weekend and enjoyed it. Is there such a thing as buying TOO many books, LOL?!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very good week, even if you didn't have a lot of time to read! That's quite a book haul, and the indie author event must have been a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWait... are you in Michigan? Have I asked you this before? I keep thinking you are in Florida because that's where I met you. Forgive this old woman with a permanent brain fog... I'm glad you had a such a nice trip to Tennessee. Life it quiet here, which is good.
ReplyDeleteNine hours in the car would have been nine hours of audiobook listening for me. Did you do that? I love audiobooks and am always listening to one.

ReplyDeleteYou are crushing your reading goals for the year! Well done. I hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYour week sounds very excellent!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the fall colors on you Top Ten Tuesday post, and your Down the TBR Hole post reminded me that I need to get back to doing that feature. 🍂
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful new week! 🍁
Happy to hear you loved The Heartbreak Hotel. I started it and wasn't in the mood so set it aside. I'll pick it back up eventually.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteNice that you got to help and hang out with your friend in Tennessee. Looks like you acquired a full list of interesting reads.
ReplyDeleteI love that you hit some bookstores on your road trip. That is awesome.
