Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Villains
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
September 9: Villains (favorite, best, worst, lovable, creepiest, most evil, etc.)
Welcome to my 100th Blog Post! I was being super indecisive on which direction to go with for this so I decided to split it in half - 5 of my favorite villains and 5 of my least favorite villains.
Favorites:
1. Victor Vale from VE Schwab's Villains series.
2. The Darkling from Leigh Bardugo's Shadow & Bone Series.
3. The Cursed One from Jillian Witt's Jeweler To The Blessed.
4. Zetian from Xiran Jay Zhao's Iron Widow.
5. Cardan from Holly Black's The Folk of The Air series - he isn't really a villain after book 1.
Least Favorites aka Villains that legit made me angry:
1. The Lion Of The Night from Hafsah Faizal's Sands of Arawiya duology
2. Scythe Goddard from Neal Shusterman's Arc of a Scythe series.
3. Elara Merandus aka Maven's Mom from Victoria Aveyard's Red Queen series.
4. Kolis from Jennifer L Armentrout's Flesh and Fire series.
5. Luc from VE Schwab's The Invisible Life of Addie Larue (I feel like most people love him but I HATED him by the end of the book)
Did any of these villains make it on your list? Let me know in the comments.
I don't think I've read any of these books, but plenty for me to get through!

I am not familiar with any of these villains. It’s fun to be introduced to new ones.
ReplyDeleteVictor Vale, the Darkling and Cardan are also some of my favorite villains!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these. They look good, though.
ReplyDeletecongrats on 100 posts!! My TTT
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHappy 100th post!! I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do so I went off topic today.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI haven't seen Scythe Goddard on anyone's list today, but he deserves a spot on there!
ReplyDeleteHe truly does! Just thinking about him makes me mad lol
DeleteI love Victor Vale and Cardan! Great choices! I didn't do today's TTT, but I think I would've done Cardan too if I had remembered!
ReplyDeleteI've not read these, but someone else mentioned Count Olaf and YES, he was awful. I feel like in longer series, villains often redeem themselves (especially in romance series). Spider from Ilona Andrews' Edge series was evil.
ReplyDeleteGood list! Yesss to the ones I recognise here.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, but they must have very memorable villains!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
