What I Did:
I had some PTO from work to use so I wouldn't lose it so I took the week off and didn't make any plans so I had a very quiet week. I got lots of cleaning done and read A LOT. On Saturday, I went to my step-nieces 1st Birthday party and then saw a scary movie with my younger siblings. Today -Sunday - it is my 28th Birthday and my only plans so far is lunch with a few of my friends, will see where the day takes me from there.
What I Read:
Big reading week for me. I finished Adversity by Ren Browne (review link is below). I read the graphic Novel of The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater - I loved revisiting this world in a different format. I finished King of Ashes by S.A. Cosby. I read Promised To The Mountain Man by Mariah O'Connor because I wanted something short and lighthearted. I got in another short audiobook with Rosie and the Dreamboat by Sally Throne - it is the third Improbable Meet Cute novella that I have listened to and it's my favorite so far. I finally finished an ARC of Tusks & Saddles (review link is below). I read and loved Every Version of You by Sloan Spencer (a local to me author!)
I also worked on reading Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao (been reading super slowly because it's so good and I don't want to reach the end), Zomromcom by Olivia Dade (a book choice heavily influenced by Jen from That's What I'm Talking About) and Someone You Can Build A Nest In by John Wiswell.
What I Checked Out From The Library:
I had three holds ready for me at the library this week. Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker, Braving The Storm by Elliott Rose, One Dark Night by Hannah Richell.
Speaking of the library, I had a thread go kind of viral (50,000 views on something that I met to just say to my 250+ followers) and I thought it would be a funny story to tell her. During my week of random cleaning, I went into a closet in my spare room that I never use and at the bottom of what I thought was just a stack of empty boxes, I found a box with random odds and ends from when I moved 10+ years ago. Two of the things inside of the box were library books from 2014. I go to my library weekly and have been for years and these books have never been brought up! My thread post was asking for the opinion on what I should do with them. I ended up taking them back to the library and was thanked for my honesty and they kept the books for their annual book sale.
