Reading Recap: March 2025

I surprised myself in March by reading 19 books. Here is the full list and a line or two of how I felt about each one.

1. Famous Last Words by Gillian McAllister. My first 5 star read of the year! My full review on it can be found here

2. ADHD is Awesome: A Guide to (Mostly) Thriving With ADHD. My first non-fiction read of the year. It was not my favorite; ADHD is a spectrum, and this book explores it exactly how the author Penn has it.

3. The Adventure Zone: Murder on the Rockport Limited! This Graphic Novel series just makes me want to play DnD. This one didn't make me want to continue on in the series until the very end when it included just enough mystery to hook me in.

4. Cowboy Wolf Trouble by Kait Ballenger. This book has two of my favorite things: Cowboys & Werewolves. Unfortunately, this book has so much going on in it and that kept me from enjoying it as much as I wanted to. I wish the main couple had been given a chance to shine just a bit more.

5. Prophecy by Eleri Drake. Another wonderful read. I gave this one 4.25 stars because there was one major thing that I did not like about it. Full thoughts can be found here

6. The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White. I was both enamored and horrified while reading this.

7. The Good Sister by Gillian McAllister. I needed more from this author after reading Famous Last Words, but I did not enjoy this one as much. It's a tough read as it involves the death of an infant.

8. I Shall Never Fall in Love by Hari Conner. This historical graphic novel was a lovely read.

9. Shamrock Kissed by Serena Pier. I have gotten in the habit of reading these holiday themed novellas around or on the holiday they take place, starting with the Christmas themed on. This one is my least favorite of the 3 so far. I am excited about the Easter themed one that is coming up.

10. Dungeons and Drama by Kristy Boyce. This YA book had me going "Am I too old to be here?"

11. Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood. This novella started out great but by the end, it just felt awkward.

12. We Free The Stars by Hafsah Faizal. I loved this duology.

13. The Fake Out by Stephanie Archer. A big improvement between the authors first book and this one.

14. Stuck With You by Ali Hazelwood. I really liked this novella.

15. The Fae's Bride by R.L. Medina. My least favorite read of the month.

16. Chef's Kiss by Jarrett Melendez. A fun MM graphic novel!

17. Venor by Halli Starling. I would have liked this better as a full-length novel. It's a lot of world building and build up just for it to end before the real action happens.

18. The Other Side of Midnight by Simone St. James. The 6th book I have read from this author and my 3rd favorite.

19. Archival Quality by Ivy Noelle Weir. This graphic novel felt choppy and anti-climactic.
