Reading Recommendations - Hockey Romances

I am the biggest fan of Hockey Romances. I grew up going to local OHL games and I have always been a fan of the sport. I've read other sports romances but none of them hit as hard as Hockey Romances. I am only human so there is a chance that I have gotten something wrong below - let me know and I will get it fixed. If you've got a Hockey Romance that you think I should check out, let me know in the comments.

🏒My Favorites:

  • Icebreaker by A.L. Graziadei | MM | This hockey romance actually made me cry due to how relatable the mental health rep was.
  • Game Changers series by Rachel Reid | MM | You can't have a hockey romance rec list without including this series by Rachel Reid. I love these books, each couple is different and Ilya who is the main male of two of the books and has at least a small appearance in all of the others is on my list of all time favorite fictional characters.
  • Rookie Mistake by Anna Zabo & LA Witt | MM | I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one, I read it over the course one day and I really need to pick up the second one.
  • Like Real People Do by E.L. Massey | MM | This book is a delight. I loved it.
  • Time to Shine by Rachel Reid | MM | Casey deserves the world
🏒Not my favorites but still good reads:
  • Gravity by Tal Bauer | MM | my main gripe with this book is it is very instant love. The two develop very strong feelings for each other very quickly but overall, it is a sweet love story.
  • Monster Pucker by Clio Evans & Ashley Benett | MMF | this combines two of my favorite things - monsters and hockey. One of the smuttier books on this list.
  • Powerless by Elsie Silver | FM | I kind of feel like I shouldn't include this one on this list, it's basically just a romance where he also just happens to be a hockey player and he actually spends most of the book suspended from the team
  • Trick Shot by Kayla Grosse | MMF | instant love, lots of smut
  • Behind the Net by Stephanie Archer | MF | she is his personal assistant that moves in with him and he is a hockey star, she's really able to blossom as a person with his support once he stops being a dick
  • The Fake Out by Stephanie Archer | MF | this book follows the older sister of the FMC from Behind the Net and I honestly liked it way more, the author improved a bunch between the two books

🏒Ones that I still need to read:

  • Rookie Recovery by Lex Veia | MM |
  • Rules of Our Own by Jessa Wilder | MMF |
  • If You Want Me by Helena Hunting | MF |
  • Timeless by Declan Rhodes | MM | This combines Hockey and Time Travel and sounds amazing
  • The Rest of the Story by Tal Bauer | This takes place in the same universe as the previously mentioned Gravity by Tal Bauer
  • Pucked by Helena Hunting | MF |
  • Puck and Prejudice by Lia Riley | MF | More Hockey & Time Travel!
  • Vampires Don't Play Hockey | MM | Another combination of my two favorite things!
  • Icebreaker by Hannah Grace | MF | a popular one on Booktok
  • Icebreaker by Nichole Rose | MF | note to self: if you ever write a Hockey Romance, do not title it Icebreaker
  • Breakaway by Avon Gale | MM |
  • On The Ice by Amy Aislin | MM |
  • Blindside Hit by Michalea Gray | MM |
  • Winging It by Ashley Kane & Morgan James | MM |
  • Thrown Off The Ice by Taylor Fitzpatrick | MM
  • Power Plays & Straight A's by Eden Finley & Saxon James
  • Hockey Bois by AL Heard
  • Puck Me Secretly by Odette Stone | MF | would you believe me if I said this was the 3rd Hockey Romance on this list with Airplane Trauma? I didn't mention it on all the others but like damn authors, let the guys fly in peace
  • Him by Sarina Bown & Elle Kennedy | MM | and they were roommates...

🏒Not romances:

  • Beartown by Fredrik Backman | This book made me super angry, but the writing is beautiful
