Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by Lost in a Story, but she has permitted I’m Into Books to adopt it since she is no longer blogging. I always see Confessions of a YA Reader do this and I have been wanting to give it a shot myself as my Goodreads to-read shelf has 649 books on it - we are on page 7 of the list now so we are making progress. I like to go with 10 books.
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go
This Weeks Books:
- Mercy by Ian Haramaki
- Triple Sec by T.J. Alexander
- You're a Mean One, Matthew Prince by Timothy Janovsky
- Ace and Aro Journeys: A Guide to Embracing Your Asexual or Aromantic Identity by The Ace and Aro Advocacy Project
- Haunted Ever After by Jen DeLuca
- Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera
- How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin
- My Darling Dreadful Thing by Johanna van Veen
- Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth
- The Sins on Their Bones by Laura R. Samotin
Keeping:
5 out of 10
New Total: 644
What a great idea! I had 805 books on my Goodreads TBR when I abandoned it about a year ago so that I could start from scratch at StoryGraph. Down the TBR Hole seems a gentler, less drastic approach.
ReplyDeleteI thought about just starting from scratch but I started to worry I would lose an awesome book without ever knowing lol
DeleteI had like 4,000 books on my TBR shelf on Goodreads and deleted them ALL. I wanted a fresh start and promised myself to keep it below 50 this time.
