2025 DNFs
I am a big fan of DNFing books like if I am at least halfway in and I am not enjoying myself, we are done here. Some of these it was because of the plot, others it was because of the writing style and some I was just bored.
In 2025, I finished 212 books and did not finish 15 so I'm much more likely to finish a book than I am to not. DNFing a book does not mean that I completely give up on an author, there is one on here where I picked up another book by the author and ended up giving it 4 stars. I also don't want anyone to think I am bashing their favorite reads; we all have different tastes and a favorite of mine might be something you hate and vice versa and that is okay.
3. Don't Want You Like A Best Friend by Emma R Alban. The Reason: I was bored.
4. Mystery Magnet by Gregory Ashe. The Reason: Didn't care for the characters
5. Keep Boston by Kelly Kay. The Reason: Way too instalove for me
6. Wrangled Love by Ann Einerson. The Reason: I was bored
7. Outplayed by Mina Myles. The Reason: Didn't care about the characters
8. Better Than Gelato by Libby Tanner. The Reason: The writing style
9. Hat Trick by SR Clark & Tilly Ridge. The Reason: I needed more conflict, this book was way too long to just be giving slice of life vibes
10. Bloody Black by Rhiannon Hargadon. The Reason: I didn't like the plot
11. Someone You Can Build A Nest In by John Wiswell. The Reason: I wanted the monster to be more monstrous like what do you mean you are just riding along on a hunting party that is looking for you
12. Burn The Breeze by June Lark. The Reason: The characters
13. We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter. The Reason: The Time Jump
14. The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch. The Reason: I just did not care for the narrating character
15. Bright Lights, Big Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews. The Reason: I was bored.
