What I Did:
Monday and Tuesday were nice because I was on PTO from my job so I got to stay home and read - it ended up being nice because we got out first snow of the winter on Sunday so I was glad to stay home and be warm. I got some cleaning done as well. I ended up going to the library on Tuesday and Thursday and I got a bunch of holds. I worked a half day on Thursday so I got my grocery shopping done earlier than normal which was nice. Friday, I had dinner with family for my younger brothers birthday. Saturday, I worked.
What I Read:
I did a reread of The Blood Demon's Pet by KD Ellis (3.5 Stars) so that I can read book 2 soon. I also finished Warrior Princess Assassin by Brigid Kemmerer (4 Stars), and I really enjoyed it! I need to check out more from this author while I wait for the sequel to come out. I started and finished If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia (3.5 Stars) I worked on reading Mate by Ali Hazelwood and I started a reread of Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid.
What I Checked Out From The Library:
I decided to check out Holiday themed reads from the library earlier than I normally would in an attempt to trick my brain into giving me some happy chemicals. I will be saving some of these for The 13th Annual Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon is a holiday readathon hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer but I will be reading some of them before then.
Christmas Presents by Lisa Unger, Date Night In December by Jaqueline Snowe, A Jingle Bell Mingle by Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone, A Winter Wish by Emily Stone, You're A Mean One, Matthew Prince by Timothy Janovsky.
I headed back to my local used bookstore this week because I saw they had some Emily Henry - I ended up getting Great Big Beautiful Life which completed my Emily Henry romcom collection. I also grabbed Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz while I was there.
